What You’ll Learn

  • Why access to nature is tied to mental health and overall wellbeing
  • What equitable access to green space looks like and where Long Island currently falls short
  • How zip code, not need, too often determines who benefits from nearby nature
  • How this connects to LIC’s on-the-ground restoration work, from planting native species to removing invasives

Who Should Attend

This conversation is accessible to newcomers, valuable to community advocates and public health professionals, and essential for anyone who believes nature access shouldn’t depend on your zip code.
